Prices are per minute of video converted. If you only have 10 minutes of video on a VHS, you are only charged for those 10 minutes and not 2 hours.
If a tape has multiple recordings of different events, these can be split up for an additional $10 per tape.
On VHS tapes, quite often I’ll see the remainder of TV shows that were recorded over for family tapes once the event is completed. I trim and delete these TV shows from the video at no cost to you.
Given the age of some tapes, there will inevitably be some instances where there is static or unclear images from the tapes. I clean my equipment regularly, but sometimes the tapes themselves have been damage by heat, humidity, age, or other circumstances. As long as the video is fairly clear, I will still convert the video for you. If the tape is unplayable, I will let you know and not charge you for that tape.
If you have other formats besides VHS, VHS-C or 8mm tape, you can provide the camcorder and I will convert those for you as well.

Most 8mm reels do not have sound on them. If your reels do have sound, we are not able to convert them to video.
Multiple reels can be combined into a single video at no additional charge. These are done in chronological order if dates are provided on the reels themselves.

Project Storage
You have multiple options for your converted videos and photos to be provided to you upon completion. All conversion projects are subject to 6.75% Texas sales tax for 80% of the project total. The prices listed below are in addition to the conversion fees listed above for each media type:
USB Drive: These can be viewed on computers or most smart TVs. Cost depends on the size of your converted videos and photos:

DVD: Each DVD can store up to 4.7GB of data and costs $10.00 each. If your videos use a large amount of space, this may not be the best option for you, but we can definitely do this for you. A single 2 hour VHS tape can usually fit on 1 DVD.
Private online access for 30 days for $20 up to 64GB. 128GB is $30.
Provide your own external USB Drive for storing your videos and photos. There is no charge for this option.
You can mix and match these options as you see fit. Some customers put all the videos on a USB drive, and then get DVDs for certain videos.
Your videos are stored on my system for 5 years. If you would like another copy of your data at any time, please let me know and I can make another copy for you. The cost is the current USB drive price plus a $15 transfer fee.
