- All videos from tapes, DVDs, and 3″ 8mm film are converted to MP4 format, and can be played on any device.
- Files, Photos and Videos copied from USB drives, SD Cards, and floppy disks are stored in the original format.
- If a tape has multiple recordings of different events, these can be split into separate clips for an additional $10 per tape.
- If your tape has 5 minutes or 5 hours, it’s $10 per tape.
- Quite often I see the remainder of TV shows at the end of family home video recordings. I don’t transfer those TV shows, and trim and delete those shows from the video at no cost to you.
- Given the age of some tapes, there will inevitably be some instances where there is static or unclear images from the tapes. I clean my equipment regularly, but sometimes the tapes themselves have been damage by heat, humidity, age, or other circumstances. As long as the video is fairly clear, I will still convert the video for you. If the tape is unplayable, I will let you know and there will be a $5 charge.

- Most 8mm reels do not have sound on them. If your reels do have sound, we can convert the video portion of the reel but not the audio.
- Multiple reels can be combined into a single video at no additional charge. These are done in chronological order if dates are provided on the reels themselves.

Project Storage
You have multiple options for your converted videos and photos to be provided to you upon completion. You can use a single output format, or mix and match different options (USB and online, for example). All conversion projects are subject to 6.75% Texas sales tax for 80% of the project total. The prices listed below are in addition to the conversion fees listed above for each media type:
- USB Drive: These can be viewed on all computers and most Smart TVs. The cost of the USB drive will depend on the size of all of your converted videos and photos.

- You provide the USB: You can provide your own USB or external hard drive for conversion, and it won’t cost you any extra.
- DVD: Each DVD can store up to 4.7GB of data and costs $12.00 each. You are provided a DVD disc, custom label, and a slim case for your DVD. If your videos use a large amount of space, this may not be the best option for you, but we can definitely do this for you. A single 2 hour VHS tape can usually fit on 1 DVD. We usually recommend going with the USB or online option.
- Private cloud access: You can select to have your own private online cloud access for 60 days for $20. A link will be provided to you that does not require a login, and can be shared with as many people as you like. Only you have access to this link.
- You can mix and match these options as you see fit. Some customers put all the videos and photos on a USB drive, but also select the online option as well.
Payment methods accepted and Sales Tax
We accept Cash, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, and credit cards. Sales tax of 6.75% is added to 80% of the conversion price. Output formats of DVD and USB Drives are charged 6.75% sales tax.
